![]() Overall we are very happy with Win 7 64bit on both of these machines playing LOTRO. My guess is it turbo'd into unstable numbers in some area of the game. I crashed in game once, but I was OCing as a test on the stock cooler. I have stock settings and cooler at the moment, but the change in fan speed is noticeable moving through different areas. The game does throttle the i5 chip up and down. I run on very high settings and while not a real issue, I may manually increase the vid card fan speed, as even a bump to 60% keeps the card noticeably cooler with no real OC other than the tiny factory one. Also, I think the BFG card is not very reliable automatically increasing the fan from 40%. I have crashed/frozen after multiple alt+tabs - no idea why, had this with previous system too. A copy/paste from an old one fixed it - think I had to make it read only too. I also had an issue with a config file wiping. I did have to run turbineinvoker in admin mode once. It takes some tinkering to get all the required drivers and plugins installed. I have my setting changed to keep my desktop from downgrading. I do occasionally get the first launch fail, second works issue. I have yet to update the bios but that needs to be done. ![]() You need to keep your drivers up to date, weekly. I have TDM and Beta client also installed which can cause some issues when TDM is active and trying to play on Live.
